JM Roofing Specialists Ltd are a highly skilled traditional metal roofing / cladding company with more than 35 years hands on experience in the industry. Employing a fully mobile labour force which is complemented by an ongoing programme for the training of apprentices both on site and in their own workshop.

 

JM Roofing have worked with many of the major construction companies across Scotland, as well as distributors, architects and clients large and small. 

 

 

Metal Solutions and JM Roofing have been working together successfully for around 4 years. Initially, JM Roofing would work as subcontractors to established companies, however over time, JM Roofing have won projects in their own right, and this is when our partnership started to really take off. 

 

Paul Thomson, Metal Solution’s Scotland Sales Manager met John McDade, Director of JM Roofing around 3 years’ ago which was around the time JM Roofing had started to win projects for themselves. More recently JM Roofing have achieved the requirements to become NedZink Qualified Installers.

 

Metal Solutions supported JM Roofing with technical assistance and a mutually adequate account facility, to supply 70 tonnes of Zinc and 5 tonnes of Greencoat® PLX for 4nr projects running in Alloa, Edinburgh, Inverness and Perthshire simultaneously.

 

Paul explains, ‘While these jobs were ongoing I was probably on the phone with John McDade most days discussing what materials he needed. This experience created a mutual trust and respect from the outset. I could take what John said as gospel, rather than relying on what they think you want to hear’.

 

Whilst working on Primrose street, in Alloa, John McDade felt he could ‘collaborate well with Metal Solutions and explain difficult detailing sometimes with various pitches crossing over on a very large multi-storey project. The expertise from both sides was apparent and was solely needed to complete this large and complex job’.

 

The relationship between JM Roofing and Metal Solutions is now a shining example of how trust, mutual respect and good collaboration really works.
