We’re excited to share some big news with you – Metal Solutions Glasgow has officially moved into a new premises!
Colin and the team have successfully completed our big move to brand new premises on the south side of the Glasgow — a modern 10,000 sq ft facility with excellent motorway links, right in the heart of an area undergoing exciting regeneration by Glasgow Council.
The new site features a self-contained reception area, offices, canteen, and toilet facilities. The move began on Thursday 18th September, and by the end of Friday 19th, everything (except the Press Brake and Guillotine machines) was safely in place. By Monday 22nd, the team was back in business — despite the usual broadband connection challenges!
Racking was quickly reassembled, additional storage installed, and fabrication equipment carefully decommissioned, moved, and reconnected across the week. Impressively, by Thursday 25th, both machines were up and running — and production was back in full swing.
Considering August and September were busy for sales orders Bobby, Andy and Scott did an amazing job helping Colin prepare for and perform the move. A huge thank you to everyone involved for their hard work, flexibility, and teamwork during the move. Special mention goes to Paul, who kept IT and admin systems running smoothly and ensured Progress was live when it was needed most.
As Colin put it: “After several months of planning, worrying, and stressing – I think I’ve earned a few weeks in a dark room!”
