Flextron Power Solar in a nutshell

Flextron Power solar are made to measure crystalline solar modules designed to work with fully supported standing seam roofing systems. Flextron Power are lightweight high performance modules requiring no extra structural support or fittings. They bond directly to the roof material sitting between standing seams. Wiring is hidden under the roof ridge flashings so panels have minimum impact to your roof design.

ADVANCED DESIGN DELIVERING RELIABLE PERFORMANCE

Flextron modules are made to measure and offer the most flexible option when seeking a discreet solar solution to capture the most power in the space available.

The modules feature solar cells made using CIGS (Copper Indium Gallium Selenide) technology which allows them to be ultra-thin, in turn, making the modules themselves thin and flexible – 2.5mm! This is in contrast with traditional crystalline-based solar panels which are thicker and heavier.

Wiring is connected at the roof ridge and incorporated in the initial design stage to ensure connection is hidden. The variable lengths suit most roof designs and can be applied to our most popular standing seam metals.

Flextron by BiPVco is a photovoltaic (PV) system that delivers the advantages of high efficiency solar. The made to order solar modules are designed to fit between the seams of standing seam roofing systems. Unlike other solar options, Flextron is lightweight requiring no extra structural support or fittings. The made to measure panels bond directly to the roof material forming a discreet solar capturing surface. Solar panels incorporate wiring connected in serial, panel to panel, hidden under the roof ridge flashings. Flextron provides reliable performance in a discreet panel that complements the aesthetics of your roof design.

Flextron Solar Retains the Benefits of Standing Seam Without Introducing Sealants or Linear Joints

Some solar products can degrade the standing seam integrity by compromising the aesthetics, adding otherwise unnecessary linear joints or imposing heavy structural additions for support.
Flextron along with our other solar options have been specially selected to work well with fully supported standing seam roofing.
With appropriate preparation and priming, Flextron solar panels can be bonded to Aluminium, GreenCoat Colourful Steel, Stainless Steel and Copper. It is also possible to retro-fit Flextron solar to existing standing seam roofs with relatively low impact.

The Flextron Power Plus variant builds on the standard Flextron Power design by incorporating premium-grade crystalline silicon cells that increase baseline cell efficiency to up to 21% (compared to up to 20% for the standard model). Additionally, the Power Plus model features an advanced self-cleaning top coat. This specialized layer prevents dust, dirt, and environmental debris from adhering to the surface, allowing natural rainfall to wash the module clean automatically.
